How the Magic Happens

Secure, Verifiable Transactions

Built on blockchain technology, Brytr provides a fully transparent, tamper-proof ledger for sREC creation, validation and retirement. Every transaction is encrypted and recorded, eliminating the risk of double-counting and greenwashing.

Certifiable Certificates

Every Brytr sREC adheres to established energy market standards. For brands that require it, optional certification through the Midwest Renewable Energy Tracking System (M-RETS) is available—ensuring compliance, audit readiness and reporting confidence.

Hardware-less Solution

Brytr requires no new hardware or complex installation. Using a proprietary data protocol, we remotely and securely access participating homeowners’ solar inverters to track real-time clean energy generation. This verified data is then converted into blockchain-based sRECs—issued as unique, tokenized digital assets (NFTs) with full traceability. The result: frictionless onboarding, faster scaling and a smarter way to validate clean energy at the source.

Custom Brand Campaigns

Through our “Net Zero Heroes” program, companies can design and launch tailored campaigns for different stakeholders:

Customers: Drive acquisition and retention

Employees: Boost engagement and sustainability alignment

Suppliers: Promote responsible sourcing and Scope 3 impact

Campaigns can be geotargeted or segmented based on brand-defined parameters, making clean energy participation a powerful marketing and ESG tool.

Multi-modal Rewards

Participants can be rewarded through a range of flexible options:

  • Cash via reloadable debit gift cards from Visa
  • Digital gift cards from dozens of curated merchant partners
  • Bill credits (available with optional API integration for a small setup fee)

This versatility makes CarbonEnfo’s Brytr marketplace an easy addition to loyalty programs, incentive plans or sustainability initiatives.

"You can think of a blockchain as a decentralized public digital ledger that is used to record transactions across many computers, where data are stored in blocks. The goal is to allow digital information to be recorded and distributed but not edited. This is great, say, for exchanging sRECs, where confirming provenance is as important as knowing when a sREC has been retired."
